RSi-Design and SCI Custom recently joined forces in an exciting collaboration that resulted in the creation of a stunning Guinness harp, designed to grace the east coast offices of Guinness. This project, a testament to their shared dedication to craftsmanship and attention to detail, was a marriage of design and fabrication expertise, resulting in a piece that truly captures the spirit of the iconic brand.

The harp, a symbol synonymous with Guinness, was meticulously crafted using innovative 3D routing technology. The material of choice? A 15# sign foam, chosen for its durability and adaptability. The foam was then delicately sanded and finished by hand, attesting to the artisanal care invested in every step of the process.

But the pièce de résistance was undoubtedly the final coating. A gold metallic polyurethane was applied, giving the harp a sheen reminiscent of the liquid gold poured into every pint of Guinness. To perfectly contrast this golden glow, a matte black inlay was added, providing depth and dimension to the piece.

This collaboration produced a visually stunning piece of art but it also demonstrated how modern technology can be seamlessly blended with traditional craftsmanship.
